Here are some important notes regarding seating. Please read before you place your order!

  • Orders will be processed by date received, with same seat renewals processed first, followed by seat change requests. If you request a change in seating that is not available, we will keep you in your same seats. Adding seats may result in moving back or farther to the outside.
  • As a season ticket holder, you will be automatically assigned to the 11 a.m. "Pinkalicious" performance. After you receive your tickets, if you wish to change to the 6 p.m. performance, just let us know.

  • We have a large number of season ticket holders who fill almost three-fourths of floor and balcony seats. When seating people, we prioritize seat locations as follows: 1. Front two-thirds of floor, 2. Front of balcony, 3. Back of floor, 4. Middle balcony. If you do not wish to sit in the balcony (which is not handicapped accessible) please let us know by replying to this email.
  • If you misplace your tickets or this email, just let us know and we will be happy to resend them to you. These tickets are yours to use or give to others, and others can use the tickets even if they are still listed in your name.
  • If you find you cannot attend a show, please consider either giving your tickets to someone else or letting us know, so we can pass them on to another family.

  • Tickets will be delivered after May 30th via email or USPS mail, as requested.

CPAS Mission

Since its creation in 1985, the Children’s Performing Arts Series, a program of the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council, has provided children from the ages of 3-10 the opportunity to see live Children’s Theatre.

This series consists of three performances yearly by some of the best professional children’s theatre companies in the United States. These performances are all presented at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons at the beautifully restored Paramount Theatre in downtown Abilene.

The major goal of the Children’s Performing Arts Series is to assure that each performance reaches children of all backgrounds. The Series was established to enable families of the Big Country to experience quality live entertainment without having to leave the area. Thanks to our sponsors, free tickets are provided to a number of human service agencies to ensure that children from families with limited resources may attend.

We are pleased to report that over 2,500 patrons attended the performances during the last season. Because of the nominal ticket prices ($8.00 per show) and the number of tickets donated, the Series solicits sponsors for performances.

The Series has continued for over twenty-five years in the same location providing entertainment to delighted families whose children may be exposed for the first time to the beauty of the Paramount and the wonder of quality live theatre and song.
