Young
Audiences of Abilene is the local
affiliate of Young Audiences, Inc. - the
nation's largest, non-profit arts-in-education
organization. As part of a national network
of 32 chapters, the mission of Young Audiences
of Abilene is to provide quality arts-in-education
of programs to young people to develop their
potential as creative and productive individuals.
Young
Audiences of Abilene brings together
schools, communities and professional artist,
creating programs that make the arts in
integral part of the education of young
people. Since 1993, under the auspices
of Abilene Cultural Affairs Council, Young
Audiences has provided live performances
and student workshops in music, dance and
theatre to thousands of school children.

who are selected for their artistic
excellence and their ability to communicate
effectively with young people. A rigorous
accreditation process, coupled with
ongoing evaluation by arts and education
experts, ensure programming of the
