Six issues a year feature unique and appealing art offerings as well as a comprehensive calendar of all arts activities. Abilene’s 27 art organizations and university art departments all contribute to the calendar. There are 7,000 copies of this excellent marketing tool distributed throughout a 200-mile radius of Abilene, resulting in increased visibility for all art activities.

Viral marketing program

The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council added Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram components to engage a younger audience in cultural events and activities. Messages are sent throughout the year regarding the Children's Art & Literacy Festival, sculpture exhibition, Broadway in Abilene, etc.



Artfully Abilene Art & Culture Weekends

Two weekends each year, major art organizations collaborate to create festival like weekends that attract visitors from throughout Texas. One of the greatest benefits from developing the “Artfully Abilene” platform is the collaboration by the major art organizations to create the “Artfully Abilene” weekends.
