The Center for Contemporary Arts

"The Center" is in the heart of Abilene's Historic Downtown area. It is home to more than 70 artist members, many who have working gallery space in the facility. It houses four galleries that showcase exhibitions from contemporary artists working in a variety of media including photography.

The National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature

The NCCIL (pronounced "nickel") is one of only three museums of its kind in the U.S. The NCCIL provides children the opportunity to fall in love with art through exhibits of original illustrations fromsome of the most beloved children's books and their artists.
