Abilene Scene Magazine

Six issues a year feature unique and appealing art offerings as well as a comprehensive calendar of all arts activities. Abilene’s 27 art organizations and university art departments all contribute to the calendar. There are 7,000 copies of this excellent marketing tool distributed throughout a 200-mile radius of Abilene, resulting in increased visibility for all art activities.

Ongoing efforts throughout the year have resulted in more than 6,000 subscribers who now receive this monthly e-newsletter highlighting art activities taking place each month.

The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council has a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Instagram to engage a variety of audiences in cultural events and activities. Social media posts feature events hosted by Abilene Cultural Affairs Council programs as well as events hosted by our arts partners.

The ACAC’s main website at www.abilenecac.org is a rich resource for the overall arts scene in Abilene as well as information about our own art programs.

 

Storybook Capital of America website at www.storybookcapitalofamerica.com also features the Storybook Capital Shop where you can buy merchandise such as T-shirts and hats. This website includes information and pictures about all of our storybook sculptures, costumed storybook characters and Children’s Art & Literacy Festivals.

 

The Abilene Cultural District website at www.abileneculturaldistrict.org lists all of the arts groups that make downtown Abilene an exciting place to visit! There’s also links to shopping and dining experiences.

 

The Abilene Road Trip website at www.abileneroadtrip.com offers a variety of Abilene weekend experience ideas from families with children to entertain to hipsters who want to know more about the downtown nightlife.
