Aimed at the homeschooling community in the Abilene area, Art Smarts is a great program designed for tweens and teens with an interest in the arts at your Main Library. For this month, we’ll be studying the artistic styles of Bridget Riley, an English painter born in 1931 who was known for her op art (optical art) paintings. Once we finish examining her works, you’ll be able to try your hand at drawing a heart optical illusion similar to those the artist is known for. All materials will be supplied in this fun art series at your library.
