Panel with Juana Martinez-Neal, a Peruvian-born picture book maker living in Connecticut who has won numerous awards and honors for her work. Alma and How She Got Her Name (Candlewick Press) was her debut picture book as an author-illustrator, and was awarded the 2019 Caldecott Honor. The luncheon also marks the opening of her exhibition at the NCCIL.
