Scarecrow Festival

  • Buffalo Gap Historic Village 133 Abilene, TX, 79601 United States (map)

A popular annual event, the Buffalo Gap Historic Village collaborates with the Center of Contemporary Arts in Abilene and area school districts for this family-friendly festival. Students from 1st to 12th grade make scarecrows, following a theme selected each year. The scarecrows are displayed on a Saturday in November at the Village. There is all the fall-festival rituals—lawn games, face painting, arts and crafts, food vendors, and music.
